Blending Guidelines
The following is a guideline for blending essential oils.
You will need a glass bottle or bowl and a glass rod for mixing.
Start by blending a drop or two at a time until you have a blend that suits you.

Useful Equivalent Measurements
20 drops = 1ml = 1/5 teaspoon
100 drops = 5ml = 1 teaspoon
300 drops = 15ml = 1 tablespoon
600 drops = 30ml = 1 fluid oz.
1ml is approx. equivalent to 1 gram


Aromatherapy Bath: It is recommended to dilute Essential Oils in a bath or carrier oil before adding to bath water. Our bath oil has the ability to naturally disperse essential oils without leaving an oily residue! For your bath, blend 6 - 9 drops of essential oils with 15ml (1 tablespoon) bath or carrier oil. Add to a full tub as essential oils start to evaporate immediately.

Aromatherapy Footbath: Blend 6 - 9 drops of essential oils with 15ml (1 tablespoon) carrier oil. Add to 8 Liters of warm water.

Aromatherapy Insect Repellent: Use any combination of the following Essential Oils: basil, cedarwood, citronella, eucalyptus, geranium, lavender, lemongrass, myrtle, niaouli, peppermint, pine, rose geranium, rosemary, spearmint, tea tree and thyme. Dilute with your choice of Ki Aromas face oil, jojoba lotion, floral water, witch hazel distillate, aloe vera gel juice or distilled water. Blend 10 - 15ml Essential Oils to 120ml Carrier. If you have sensitive skin use less Essential Oils and apply more frequently.

Aromatherapy Massage: For 1 application use 15ml of massage oil and add 6 - 9 drops of Essential Oils.

Aromatherapy Shower: In the shower close the drain and adding 6 - 9 drops of Essential Oils blended with bath oil.

Aromatic Conditioner: Add 5 drops of Essential Oils to 5ml conditioner, 5ml cider vinegar and 2 cups of warm water. Rinse diluted mixture through freshly washed hair.

Aromatic Hand & Body Lotion: Add 10 - 15 drops of Essential oils to 120ml of unscented lotion.

Aromatic Shampoo: Add 6 - 9 drops of Essential Oils to 120ml of unscented shampoo.

Aromatic Shower Gel: Add 15 - 25 drops of Essential Oils to 120ml of unscented shower gel.

Bath Raves: Add 1 to your bathtub just after you get in and enjoy!

Bath Soak, Milk Bath, Fizzy Bath: Add 6 - 9 drops of Essential Oils per 100g. Use 2 - 3 tbsp. in each bath.

Green Clay Face or Foot mask: A mask on the face or feet has been used for centuries to cleanse and tone the skin, as well as being relaxing and rejuvenating. Add 2ml of carrier oil (or 2 tablespoons of water) to 30 grams of green clay. Then blend in 3 - 6 drops of Essential oils. Then add sufficient water (2 - 4ml) to make a spreadable paste. Leave mask on for 15 - 30 minutes. Lie back and close your eyes. Rinse off with warm water. This recipie can be used with other clays or Atlantea Face and Body Wrap.

Facial Massage: Add 6 - 9 drops of Essential Oils to 15ml of face Oil.

Facial Scrub: Mix 5 - 10 grams of our facial scrub with warm water. Stir into a paste and gently massage into the skin. Rinse off with tepid water after a few minutes. For a deeper cleanse leave scrub on longer.

Inhalation & Steam Facials: Inhalation works really well for sinus congestion and respiratory problems. Steam facials are great for opening pores, stimulating blood circulation and hydrating the skin. Add 3 - 6 drops of Essential Oils to a large bowl of warm water. Cover head with a towel and breathe deeply with head over the bowl for 10 minutes. This formula can also be used in a simmer pot on the stove.

Simmer Pot: Use the same formula as for Inhalation only put it in a pot on the stove to simmer. This is a great method to use when the flu virus has invaded your house.

Tea Light Diffusers: Fill the bowl with approx 30ml of distilled water and add 6 - 9 drops of Essential Oils
