Botanical Name: Cupressus sempervirens

Extraction Method: Steam distillation of needles and twigs.

Aroma Intensity: Medium

Evaporation Rate: Middle Note

Aroma: Fresh, clean, woody, evergreen aroma with herbal and nutty undertones.

Effects: Harmonizing, balancing, soothing and comforting.

Properties: Antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, deodorant, diuretic, digestive, expectorant.

Possible Uses: Cypress used in a diffuser or aromatherapy massage blend is said to be helpful with the following conditions: asthma, bronchitis, persistent cough, cellulitis, edema, excessive perspiration, poor circulation, menopause, PMS, varicose veins, oily skin and mature skin. Most commonly used for its comforting properties during times of emotional crisis, loss or grief.

Blends With: Benzoin, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Lavender, Marjoram, Petitgrain, Rose, Sandalwood, Spearmint, Tangerine.

Precautions: Avoid use during pregnancy and when experiencing high blood pressure. For external use only.
