Aroma: Fresh, clean, tart and spicy with lemon undertones.
Aromatic Properties: Warming, strengthening, refreshing, restoring, calming and inspiring.
Possible Uses: Elemi used in a diffuser or aromatherapy massage blend is said to be helpful with the following conditions: bronchitis, congestion, cough, stress, mature skin, psoriasis, eczema and scars. Elemi is commonly used as a fixative.
Precautions: Elemi can be a skin irritant and should always be diluted with a carrier oil before use. Research is ongoing, but there are some indications that elemi could be a carcinogen. For external use only.
