Botanical Name: Oenothera biennis
Extraction Method: Cold expression of ripe seeds.
Qualities: Evening Primrose Oil is extremely skin nourishing, healing and soothing as it is high in essential fatty acids. It leaves a slight oily residue on skin and is commonly combined with less expensive and lighter carrier oils. Wheatgerm or Vitamin E would be a good addition to any blend to prolong shelf life.
Uses: Good for all skin types and ages. Evening Primrose Oil is said to be helpful for: acne, arthritis, dry irritated skin, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, PMS, wound and scar healing. Preferred by Aromatherapists and used in facial creams, lotions, lip balms and massage oils.
Cautions: Store in a cool dark place or refrigerate after opening. For external use only.
