Aroma: Robust, rich, very appealing, sweet floral aroma with herbal undertones.

Aromatic Properties: Calming, soothing, relaxing, energizing, revitalizing, uplifting, clearing, cooling, inspiring, balancing and healing.

Possible Uses: Lavender French used in a diffuser or aromatherapy massage blend is said to be helpful with the following conditions: bronchitis, colds, cough, infections, burns, eczema, psoriasis, scars, wounds, stretch marks, mature skin, anxiety, depression, insomnia, panic, trauma, tension headaches, high blood pressure, arthritis and muscle aches. Lavender is commonly used as a fixative for perfumes, and as an insect repellent.

Blends With: Bay, Benzoin, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Jasmine, Rose, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rose Geranium, Rosemary, Tangerine and Ylang Ylang

Precautions: Lavender French should be avoided during pregnancy and those with low blood pressure. Safe for use with young children in diluted form only. For external use only.

People sure do benefit from this essential oil December 10, 2012

People sure love this essential oil. I'm pleased to put it into the products I make. I've been told that little children LOVE to walk around, smelling the soap I make with the French Lavender e.o. in it. I've also had people tell me they don't sleep very well but have great sleeps when they have a bedtime bath with my Epsom salts with the French Lavender added.

Lavender is the only allpurpose essential oil.  It gently calms the skin and can safely be used on anyone from babies to the elderly.  I have very sensitive skin and have never had a bad reaction from using lavender essential oil either from my practice as a massotherapist or in my personal use.  You can add it to shampoo, conditioner for the hair, cream for the skin, or any other body product you use.
