Properties: Anesthetic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, decongestant, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, restorative, stimulant.
Possible Uses: Spearmint used in a diffuser or aromatherapy massage blend is said to be helpful with the following conditions: asthma, bronchitis, cough, fever, sinusitis, indigestion, gas, nausea, constipation, exhaustion, migraines, muscle aches and pains.
Blends With: Basil,
Bergamot, Birch Sweet, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus, Jasmine, Lavender,
Lemon, Marjoram, Myrtle, Orange, Peppermint, Petitgrain, Tangerine, and
Sandalwood.
Precautions: Spearmint should be avoided during pregnancy. Spearmint can be a mucous membrane irritant and should always be diluted with a carrier oil. For external use only.
