Extraction Method: Steam distillation of dried roots.

Aroma Intensity: Strong

Evaporation Rate: Base Note

Aroma: Deep, smoky, earth, woody aroma with sweet, fruit undertones.

Effects: Grounding, balancing, centering and relaxing.

Properties: Antiseptic, antidepressant, aphrodisiac, detoxifying, sedative.

Possible Uses: Vetiver used in a diffuser or aromatherapy massage blend is said to be helpful with the following conditions: anxiety, depression, mental exhaustion, insomnia, PMS, acne, oily skin, psoriasis, wounds, arthritis, muscle spasms and sprains. Commonly used as a fixative.

Blends With: Benzoin, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Grapefruit, Ginger, Jasmine, Juniper, Neroli, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Tangerine, Vanilla & Ylang Ylang

Precautions: Use Vetiver sparingly as the aroma is very strong and long lasting. For external use only.

One of my favourite essential oils, vetiver is earthy, nutty and grounding. I am very happy with the quality and value for money Ki aroma provides for this oil.

!!JULY 2011 WINNER!!  I have used your beautiful Vetiver oil in a mens shaving soap blend.  I combined it with Bay and Lime Oil, and the results were just fantastic!  My  clients just love the combination of scents, and just love the scent.  The Vetiver adds just the right touch
