Botanical Name: Triticum vulgare
Extraction Method: Cold expeller pressed from germ of wheat.
Qualities: Wheatgerm Oil contains proteins, lecithin and vitamins A, B, D and E. This oil is very thick and has an earthy aroma, however it is a wonderful antioxidant and is used in combination with lighter oils to extend shelf life. Wheatgerm Oil is extremely nourishing, healing, soothing and helps skin retain moisture and generate new cells.
Uses: Good for all skin types and ages. Wheatgerm Oil is said to be especially helpful for: dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, burns, sun damaged and prematurely aging skin. Used in anti aging creams, lotions, lip balms, facial scrubs, massage and bath oils.
Cautions: May cause sensitization in individuals with wheat allergies.Store in a cool dark place or refrigerate after opening. For external use only.
